Ocotber 9th: Belated Presents

Today I had yet another large packet to complete in my Practical... it took another 3 hours to complete.

Once I checked the mail I found a birthday letter from Memere and Pepere! It was really nice to see their writing and hear how they're doing. Anthony's gift arrived in the mail for me and I got to open that too. He got me a really great purse. Hot Pink to match everything else I buy! haha. Thanks to all for remembering me still and making me feel very special :)

October 8th: Plenty of Work to do

Today all I did was homework... I didnt really leave this one spot at my computer except to make breakfast. It didn't help that Anthony left a bunch of Junk food because I feel like I ate a lot today.... although it was mainly apples and kiwis again. I finally caught up on all he lecture notes I wanted to take over break, which I wasnt able to because my iLearn wasn't working for me to access them.

I'm also completely caught up on updating this blog as of now, including all the trip stuff. Take a look! All that's missing is a few pictures from my birthday (so stay tuned for that). October 7th: Day Light Savings

Today I didn’t’ do much other than do a major clean of the kitchen and catch up on homework. I was suppoed to go on a whale watching trip for Marine Birds and Mammals but that was postponed. It was a very nice day to go out whale watching but I was ok with it being pushed back because I would have had to wake up around 4 to get into the city to be at the right place on time. It is also day light savings time here. Except, because it is spring here, I am springing forward instead of falling back. But hey! That just means the sun will start setting later :)

October 6th: Apples and Kiwi

Today was pretty simple. I hung out most of the day and made a huge pasta dinner. Then Anthony and I just watched some movies. I bought apples (no where near as good as New England apples) but I’ve been eating all this fruit like crazy lately. Yum!

October 5th: Indecisive

I went to the Center with Anthony today because  we wanted to figure out this deal we saw about buy one movie ticket with the student card, get the other free. So we went to the cinema to figure that out thinking we would see a movie later in the evening. We stopped and got groceries and a bunch of snacks for the film. I got a huge bag of over 10 kiwis for 50 cents.... so excited to eat fresh fruit! Once home, we looked at the movie listings and decided we would wait for a good movie to come out to go. We just chilled for the rest of the night.

October 4th: Zebra and Long-Tailed Finches

Today I had my midterm for developmental psychology. I was a bit worried about it because of the online test I had to take earlier in the year and the difficulty of some of the questions. It was a nice surprise to get there and only have 4 short answers to write. I finished early but wasn’t allowed to leave until the time was up because there were about 300 people in the lecture hall. I took a quick nap against the wall that I was sitting next to after checking my answers. Once time was up, I went to go to the IT department to have my student page fixed. In Animal Behaviour practical we are starting a study on Zebra finches and Long-Tailed finches. Not much is known about the species so we are supposed to conduct an observational experiment. This week we were to observe the birds and come up with an experiment and next week we will conduct it. I went home and hung out for a little while until around 10 when we decided to head to Ubar. I played a little pool with the boys and then just hung out, nice way to end the day.

October 3rd: Kangaroo Charm

Today was a relaxing day. I went to my lecture and then lay in the sun for hours till I had to leave for my practical. I did end up getting a lot of sun. I got a letter in the mail from home for my birthday. It was nice to see my family’s writing. Mama and Papa also sent me a kangaroo Pandora charm: very appropriate. (Thank you! Love you very much). Later in the day Danielle and Ed came over to hang out for a bit before they went to the bar. It was the first time I’ve really sat down and talked to her since before spring break.
