September 23rd: 24 hours left Till we Leave

(today, my mouth is doing even better and I feel like I'm doing much better with each day).
We have 24 hours left till we are boarding a plane for Melbourne. I’m very excited to leave and trying to get all my ducks in a row. Anthony thankfully brought me a winter jacket for the mountain climb so I don’t freeze my butt off. I’m very excited because our trip is very nature focused. We are in two different cities, one a major international city, but not for very long. Our hotel for the mountain is IN the mountain which will be beautiful, cold and very convenient. I’m looking forward to seeing other parts of this country and Antony is looking forward to returning to Cradle Mountain and hiking it to the very top this time. We are both looking forward to this trip :) I won’t be able to update the blog while there but I will return with awesome photos!
This is the mountain

Sydney is marked as the higher red dot and Melbourne is the lower red dot, it will take a little over an hour to fly there
this is a closer view of tasmania. we are flying into launceston and the other red dot on the left is approximately where cradle mountain is located.

September 22nd: Salt Water and Rest

I didn’t do much today. Mostly packed for my trip and did some laundry. All day I gargled with salt water which is actually starting to help. I didn't have to talk to anyone at all today, which seems really weird that I was that quiet all day, but my mouth thanks me for it. These new antibiotics are starting to make a difference already…. Its just kind of sad I suffered for a week of intense mouth pain and fevers….

September 21st: Calling the Grandmas

Today I went back to the doctor and got a new antibiotic. I'm a bit annoyed because I was recommended this antibiotic first but told the doctor I shouldn’t take it because I have an allergy to penicillin. But now here I am, taking amoxicillin…. Keep your fingers crossed I get better! At midnight my time, I Skyped home to talk to my two grandmas for the first time since I left the States. It was really nice to talk to them. They were excited to hear from me too and it was nice, but toward the end I was starting to fall asleep and had to let them go so they could look at the rest of my blog and my pictures.

September 20th: Flights are booked

It seems really bad that my antibiotics haven’t started to work yet… today Anthony and I booked our flights for our trip. I’m so excited to get better and go!! I feel like I’ve lost a lot of weight with this week long fever and all the pain it takes me to overcome just to eat. I went to the center with Anthony and to the library a bit. I fell asleep at my computer when we were working so we walked back for me to take a 5 hour long nap… the pain has hurt so much I haven’t been sleeping very much without waking up. I’m just drained… I need to go back to the doctor.

September 19th: Not getting Any Better

My mouth kills and I can hardly eat. I also still have a fever. This isn’t good….

September 18th: Doctor’s Visit

Today I went to the doctor’s office because I was getting concerned that my mouth wasn’t healing but actually getting worse. Turns out I have gingivitis. I got some antibiotics and went to the center with Anthony for a bit. We got lunch and then came back in time to catch a bus to his soccer competition. It was pouring cats and dogs but luckily cleared up a bit in time for the game. The whole day seemed to be a day of unfortunate events. But we decided to go forward with planning a trip for later in the week.

September 17th: Takin' it Easy

Today I woke up with another fever of 100 and laid in bed all day. I worked on organizing my homework and catching up on writing this blog and cleaning my bathroom. Trying to take it easy because I have a huge migraine and still feel very sore.... let's hope I get better soon!

September 16th: Ow

Today nothing really happened. I went shopping for groceries and then I did laundry. I was fine all day until I went to bed. I went to bed feeling like I was freezing and then burning hot and then freezing and as if my whole body got hit by a Mack truck. I was so sore all over and even my head was pounding… guess I didn’t make a full recovery

September 15th: Sick as a Dog

This morning I woke up and knew I had a fever. So all I did was stay in bed all day, sleep and watch movies. I had a horrible migraine and my body felt like it was sore all over. By the end of the day I felt 100% better. Must be one of those 12 hour things…

Today was Conception Day. I had a huge breakfast and went to Deniz’s for a preparty and we all left to go to the festival. The festival is a huge event at the college that is 9 months ahead of the birthday of some founder. We danced and hung out the whole day on the lawns and had a blast. I had decided to be the camera person that day and took as many pictures as I could of all of us having a blast. (Everyone is so happy I took them, even though I felt like such a creeper). We were there from about 1 till around 7 when it ended. Then I went home to get changed and ready to go out into the city. We all left shortly after and had a good night.
