August 1st: the magpie

This morning was a very weird morning. I woke up and thought I heard someone down stairs in the kitchen, when I walked down stairs there was a Magpie flying in the house! Magpies are a lot like crows but HUGE. I was worried it would attack my face. (Side story: Anthony told me when he was in high school there was a warning from the schools to walk with a helmet outside because the Magpies would attack people when they got too close to their nests). I successfully removed the bird from the house and had to clean up all of the poop it left everywhere. These birds have come into the house before, but that was my first experience with one. I walked to my 9 AM practical to come and find out that I did not have that practical this week. So I walked back to the house and went back to sleep. The handyman came to the house and fixed all the things I wrote was wrong on my room check. So now the kitchen light works and we have a new kitchen faucet! It seems it was just me that was extremely bothered by both those being broken…. I read “Little Women” all day, cleaned the house, and hung out with Anthony until my 5 PM lecture. When I got home at 6 I got ready to go out and hung out with the boys and Danielle. Today was a very weird day.....
